CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Students must pay a $15.00 fee, which includes a t-shirt.

CrossFit Joint Effort at Southeast Tech is designed to serve an unmet need for our students, and staff  by providing a fitness program for every ability level.~ Coach Bryant combines his knowledge of health, nutrition, hydration, and goal-setting with the innovative CrossFit program to provide a high quality experience for members to achieve their health and fitness goals, meet new friends, and have fun.

Crossfit Throwdown - CoverCongratulations to Southeast Tech CrossFit for taking first place in the 1st annual CrossFit Throwdown on February 15, 2017.  

Noah O’Connor placed first and teamed up with Matthew Clarke and Marco Guzman to bring home the 1st place team award.

Sebastian Campbell, Marco Guzman, and Stephen Nuguid won the relay with a time of 59.22 seconds.  

All of the CrossFit club members contributed in a big, big, way.

Tech CrossFit kids killed it again on Saturday at the Las Vegas High School Throwdown. Carlos Lara placed second in the elite boys’ division. Jasmine Valdivieso Sanchez placed second in the girls’ elite division, and Gabriella Montrovite placed third. In the boys’ scales division, Grant Schliefer placed second, and Colby Rickard placed third. Colby also won the hang challenge competition with a hang time of three minutes and thirty one seconds. Overall, Tech CrossFit had more place winners than any other school!

Students, come and see what a CrossFit competition is all about and support our CrossFit Kids at 4:30 pm tonight as we host the first annual Southeast Tech “Throwdown” against the other CCSD CrossFit high schools. Admission is free.

Once again, the Southeast Tech CrossFit kids out-performed all other schools for the Throw Down competition on Dec. 8th at Durango High School.  Marco Guzman had the high score with 187.  Other top placers were Grant Schleifer, Carlos Lara, and Steven Nuguid. Gabriela Miravite, Kearra Rodriguez, and Zerina Villadelgado were top placers for the girls. Way to go Southeast Tech!
