Cross Country Regional Championship Win

Cross Country Regional Championship Win

The Cross Country teams made history over the weekend with both the women’s and men’s teams winning the Regional Championships! This is the first time both teams won the championship and the first time a women’s cross country team at Tech has won a regional meet. The girls dominated the meet with 26 points. They placed 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 11th, and 13th to win. Great job Dimond Morris, Jacky Canas, Eden Tesfay, Evelyn Corona, Caitlyn Viluan-Baria, Arielle Moreno, and Eri Leong! All seven runners ran personal bests to win the meet. The men’s team also edged out the rival Pahrump to win the championship. Bruce Troncoso placed 2nd followed by teammates Matthew Clarke, Ryan Myers, Uriel Munguia, Brayden Miller, Kyle Ressler, and Irvin Tapia to win the title. All seven runners ran personal bests to win. The state meet will be held on Saturday, November 5, at Craig Ranch Park. Good luck at state!
