There are books left over from Distribution, but they’re going fast! Get yours this week so you can get it signed by your friends before finals begin. They are $95 and if any are left, they will not be discounted next year. Hurry, only a few boxes remain.

Swim and Dive Results at State

Swim and Dive Results at State

Congratulations to the swimmers and diver that went to the NV State Championships in Carson City last weekend. They did an outstanding job! The boys got 5th place and the girls got 8th place in the entire state of Nevada. Here are the highlights: The girls 200 Medley relay got 6th place with Veronica, Demi, Natalie, and Elle. The girls 200 Free relay got 7th place with Elle, Cheyenne, Alexia, and Veronica. The boys 400 free relay got 7th place with Durand, James, Anthony and Sam. Jake got 7th place in the 500 Free. Durand got 5th place in the 500 free and 5th in the 100 back. Anthony got 6tth place in the 200 I.M. and 6th place in the 500 Free. James got 2nd place in the 50 free and 5th place in the 100 breaststroke. Elle got 1st place and is the Nevada State Champion Diver! Way to go everyone!! Thanks for a fantastic season!

Attention! Girls that want to play basketball next year. There is open gym after school from 1:45-3:00 pm this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. See Coach Meyer in the Gym with any questions.

Swim and Dive Team

Swim and Dive Team

Congratulations to the Swim and Dive team at the Regional Championship meet on Friday, 5/12/17. We had 30 swimmers and divers involved! They all did amazing! The boys finished as Regional Runners up in 2nd place and the girls finished in 3rd place. This the highest we have finished! To top that, though, we have 11 swimmers and divers going to the State Championships in Carson City in 11 different events!! The girls going to state are: Veronica, Demi, Natalie, and Elle in the 200 medley relay. Elle, Cheyenne, Alexia, and Veronica in the 200 free relay as well as our regional champion Elle in dive. The boys going are: Durand, James, Anthony and Sam in the 400 free relay. Durand also qualified in the 500 free and 100 back. James qualified in the 50 free and 100 breast.  Anthony qualified in the 200 IM and 500 free, and Jake qualified in the 500 free. We are off to Carson on Friday, 5/19/17. Good luck everyone!!

The school has been notified by the surrounding businesses that students are parking and loitering in their paring lots.  We were informed that they will start having vehicles towed at the owners expense.

3A Regional Dive Championship Winner

3A Regional Dive Championship Winner

Congratulations to Elle Renner for winning the 3A Regional Dive Championship with a score of 464.30. This is a new Regional record as well, and she has qualified for the State Championships! Great job Elle, and good luck to the Swim and Dive Team at the Regional Finals tonight, May 12. Off to Carson City!

Roadrunners! Let’s congratulate the “EDR Robotics Team” of STEM Group for their successful robotics battle against ECTA at UNLV on Saturday, April 29th. The members of the team won first place and represented Southeast Tech well with a great robot! The team members are: Daniela Flores-Navarro, Johnathan Keating, Silver Mendoza-Matute, Joshua Meza, Sofia Rios, and Devan Wade! We also acknowledge the IQ Team of STEM Group that had a battle at UNLV as well. They did a fine job in representing Southeast Tech!

Attention boys or girls that are interested in running cross country in the fall.  Intramurals are every  Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:45 pm – 3:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome! If you have any questions please come by the gym and talk to Coach Meyer.
